"Parting is such sweet sorrow, That I shall say good night till it be morrow."
A very short novella (Only about 10k words in total) that I used to get me out of a writing slump, with little to no action but lots of emotions. A reflection on my mind of what love is, and what defies it?

What if, I loved someone I didn't? What if, I fell in love, again? What does it feel like, to be in love so desperately?

As we go through life, we meet people who deeply touch our hearts and change us in meaningful ways. They leave lasting marks on our souls, transforming who we are. The footprints they leave behind guide us towards growth, ensuring we can never retrace our steps to the person we once were. And then, there was him. We found each other at the precise moment when our souls were ready to collide. Love enveloped us, and in his arms, I discovered a deep sense of belonging. Everything felt right, as if the universe had conspired to bring us together. But life has a way of unraveling even the most beautiful stories. In a cruel twist of fate, the ground beneath us began to crumble. The very thing that had given us hope and joy now carried the weight of our lives, feelings, and emotions, threatening to snatch them all away. The perfect illusion shattered, leaving behind broken fragments of what once was. He is the one who taught me how to love. But as I stand here engulfed in his absence, I realize he forgot to teach me the most crucial lesson of all-how to let go. The pain of holding onto his memory is unbearable, yet I would endure it all, for it's a bittersweet reminder of the love we shared. I'd trade my everything for just one more moment with him, for even a fleeting moment holds more joy than a lifetime without knowing him. ❁❁❁ This is Book 3 of my Botanical Novel Series, but it can be enjoyed as a standalone book. You were my First Love; toxic, unhealthy for my state. But i learned Love from you; you taught me what it meant to spend nights crying at the edge of my bed and how it felt to really smile. ************************* This is a collection of poetry for one series- love, pain, toxicity, heartbreak and memory. This is the first experience at love I had. I share with you my experiences, my thoughts, my recollections, my struggle and everything I felt. If you grew up having been deprived of love and then suddenly found yourself carrying what seems like the world's amount of love for someone else- I don't doubt you won't be able to relate, at one point in this poetry book you'll find yourself in me. ******* #1 in heartstrings/43 (6th september) #3 in nostalgia (20th march) #15 in poems/5.7k (11th september) #4 in experience (30th November) #5 in journal (june 2019) #2 in deep (june 2019)
