It Was Just For Fun (BoyXBoy)
Jayden was never meant to be a prince, but when he gets adopted by the king and queen, he has to prepare himself for the challenges ahead. Luckily, his personal knight, Kam, is there to help him out. Together, they will have to deal with mages, fight dragons, and face windigos. Follow them as they learn more about each other, and learn to look past their deferences to accomplish their goals and save the kingdom. Firstly, a huge thanks to my friend Sophia (@sopheyyis or @B1ashe) for drawing the cover. She is an amazing artist, go follow her on instagram and tik toc because she is the best. Warning: this is not for kids or people sensitive to triggers. I tend to write on the dark side, just so you know. There will be no smut, but there will be mentions of sex, abuse, abandonment, a little bit of swearing and this list could be updated as the story goes on. I usually don't write romance, but I want to get better at it, so here we go... About updates, I wish I could say I will be posting at least once a day but I know that won't be true because I'm currently editing my book that I am publishing this summer (2020) and this story is more of just a de-stressor (is that a word) so the grammar and writing, especially the tense (it will most likely flip between present and past tense, just pretend it is all the same) might not be perfect, but I just felt like writing it. "WHY CAN'T YOU GET IT INSIDE YOUR HEAD?" He trapped my trembling body between his arms and slammed his fist into the wall. I flinch at the sound as I feel tears forming in my eyes. His hand grips onto my jaw, his thumb playing across my lower lip. He turns my face to meet his as I lower my gaze to the floor. He lowers himself to my level and I feel his breath fanning my cheek causing my breathing to become unsteady. "I love you so much, darling. But you need to learn. There is enough dark romance/bad boy meets nice girl/ medieval fantasy books here that will be more up your alley. This is very niche and a story that tackles topics that I personally like to engage with, regarding trauma and healing. If you are interested in more complex topics and you do enjoy reading about the human psyche, with a more mature tone, fitting it's time, then I am really happy to take you with me through the story. But for everyone else I am sorry if you started this book with different expectations just to be hit with mature themes and I would really ask for you to not comment how disappointed you are in the direction I take the story bc this is really a story I intended to tell even if it's not for you personally. My english isn't perfect, and I apologize for phrasing things in a very clumsy way sometimes and I appreciate any help to better my writing and criticism regarding my writing. Honestly I really want to tell a story in the most captivating way and every reader is much needed feedback.
