A possibly horrible novel about a girl and her dealings with mental illness

(quick note, you don't have to be a fan of Emblem three to enjoy this, this story has more to it than that)

I've abandoned this project and will probably never update it again

Rhythm of the Heart (SHORT STORY)

11 parts Complete

Maria has never been the daughter her father wanted her to be. A struggling student with grades that never seem to measure up, she lives under the shadow of constant pressure and impossible expectations. Behind closed doors, she battles a darkness that her strict family refuses to see - a depression so deep that it drives her toward self-harm, and eventually, thoughts of ending her life. Everything changes the day she meets a group of free-spirited individuals who introduce her to the world of dance - a language of expression, healing, and freedom. For the first time, Maria feels alive. She begins to rediscover herself through movement, finding a flicker of purpose where there used to be only pain. But when her father discovers her secret, his disapproval strikes harder than ever. Torn between the fear of defying him and the newfound light she's found in dancing, Maria faces a choice that could determine the rest of her life. Will she have the courage to fight for her passion and finally live for herself? Or will she surrender to the silence she's long planned to embrace?
