Kaoru Takime is reborn into the brutal world of Naruto, not in Konoha or any of the great nations, but in the Land of Water - a place where violence decides everything. He remembers watching Naruto series in his previous life, but in this one, he's inherited something far greater than mere memories: the lost Kekkei Genkai of the Takime Clan.
With war and betrayal everywhere, Takime clan has a goal - to create a new village, a place where everyone can live in peace.
But Kirigakure won't let them build without a fight. If Kaoru wants to protect his clan and new family, he'll have to cut down anyone who stands in his way.
What to expect:
* 5 new chapters releasing weekly (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat)! Each 2000+ words.
* Slow Progression.
* Lots of Fights, Drama, and Bloody Scenes.
* MC isn't heroic but forms deep bonds.
* Romance may develop naturally over time, but there will be no harem.
* The starting universe will already have slight differences from the original. For example, the Senju clan isn't wiped out in my story. These changes make Azure Awakening a slightly AU version of Naruto.
* There will be politics, intrigues, schemes and also clan building elements
* I'll respect canon characters and their personalities, but as the story progresses, I'll introduce original elements and may alter or remove key events. The MC won't be focused on preserving the original timeline.
* I'll involve readers through polls, letting you vote on key details.
This is my first novel, so I hope to grow as a writer together with it xD

Naruto Namikaze Uzumaki is a girl. She's not an idiot like she lets on, she knew of the burden she carried since civilians don't know how to keep there mouths shut while she's around. She knows of who her parents are and why they did what they did, but one problem arises for Naruto. While training with her perverted godfather whom did not know her real gender, she went to the festival as herself and surprisingly met Itachi Uchiha once again while he was not working for once. Long story short, the young teenagers had entered a drinking contest and ended up sleeping with each other at a local motel. Naruto returned to Konoha the next month. But as fate would have it, she became pregnant and realizing that those elders would take her child whom would most likely gain the Sharingan, she fled from Konoha. Now 5 year later we find her living happily, so what happens when Konoha wants her back ? PLEASE NOTE - I have @thenarutowriter permission to adopt my story and to continue on with the plot. I was done with writing it where I left off and it was technically complete but nevertheless, who am I to hold back the creativity of the new generation of fanfic writers who are coming on to Wattpad. A ninja must see underneath the underneath
The story starts right after the battle at The Valley of The End where Naruto battled Sasuke right before he joined Orochimaru in order to gain more power. Sasuke pierced Naruto's right shoulder with his Chidori technique. My story deviates from the canon series because Naruto's wound was not immediately healed by the Nine-Tails. Also, Naruto didn't go into his initial junchūriki form, as he refused to use the Nine-Tails chakra. The story starts with Naruto recovering from that fight in the hospital. Afterward, he is sent on a 2-year mission with his sensei Kakashi Hatake. As they travel together, their bonds grow stronger until they eventually learn about each other's true feelings. (Yaoi and violence!) ! - I do not recommend reading this story if you are not familiar with the series. ! - In this story, Naruto starts off as a 17-year-old, not 14 as in the series. !- The story continues until the canon's Pain episodes, so if you haven't seen that yet, there will be spoilers here. !- Yaoi lemon in later chapters. The KakaNaru relationship evolves from teacher/student to friends (bromance) to lovers while they travel together. I started writing this story because I'm a big fan of the Naruto series. However, there have always been two things bothering me. For one, the filler episodes and constant flashbacks of course, and secondly, the lack of relations. For example, Kakashi not caring all too much about Naruto's upbringing even though he is Minato's son. Or the fact that nobody (not even his godfather Jiraiya) adopted Naruto. And don't even get me started on the fact that nobody ever told Naruto anything about his parents, nor did he ever ask... Anyway, the list is long. It's my first time writing fanfiction. Obviously, I do not own Naruto or any other characters from the series/manga. My native language is Dutch, not English, so please try and forgive any spelling mistakes you might find.
