Makena Kindell has had a rough start in life. She was thrilled to finally escape the guy who loved to humiliate her, making her high school experience a living hell. While at work, she encounters her former bully, which leaves her upset. However, she continues with her life. A few days later, Makena receives a text from her boyfriend with details about a hotel room, date, and time, and she becomes excited. She loves a good surprise.
Minutes later, he texted her again, telling her it was a team celebration for winning a project proposal. Despite being disappointed, she showed up anyway to surprise him. Unfortunately, as she walked towards the room, she saw her boyfriend entering the room with another woman hanging onto his arm. As her boyfriend turned and looked down the hall, Makena panicked and reached out and pulled a guy standing behind her into a passionate kiss. She did this to avoid being caught by her boyfriend.
