I could see red eyes through my window, the threat of who-or what they belonged to sent me into a frenzy. My instincts screamed at me to get away, to shout for help, to do something other than lie there and accept my unprecedented death. It was useless. The window screeched open, and with it, the growl of death.

Forks has always been Summer's home. Unlike her sister, she never had the bite for the big city or the heat. Bella was a city girl at heart. It made sense as to why she chose to live with Renée and Summer with Chief Swan. Summer Swan loved the smallness of Forks, the cold, and the rain. Much more, she loved how nothing weird happened in Forks. Everything stayed the same.
