As such, a new alliance is formed between the young half Fae half Illyrian High Lord of the Night Court, and Helion, High Lord of the Day court. It is through this alliance that Helion's bastard daughter, Elora, meets Azriel, the High Lord of the Night Court's Shadowsinger. Azriel was infamous, and feared by all who beheld him. But not Elora, as she found that perhaps they were not so unlike.

A year has passed since Seren Marzena returned to the Night Court with her mate, Azriel. Their time of rest is coming to an end. Plans long kept silent are now being enacted.
