In the ancient days, when the realms were young and magic flowed freely, there was balance. Light and shadow danced in harmony, each feeding the other, their forces intertwined like the strands of a tapestry. At the center of this balance stood the Orcest-a crystal of unimaginable power that governed the equilibrium of the world.

But as centuries passed, greed and ambition began to fester. A dark sorcerer named Sinerik sought to bend the Orcest to his will, to consume its light and plunge the realms into eternal shadow. The Guardians of Light, sworn protectors of the crystal, rose to stop him. Among them was Aeris, the first Goddess of Light, who wielded the purest magic of the Orcest itself.

The battle between Aeris and Sinerik raged for days, their powers shaking the very fabric of existence. With her final breath, Aeris shattered the Orcest into fragments, scattering its pieces across the lands. The shards-each containing a fraction of its power-became the world's salvation and curse. For as long as they remained apart, the balance would hold. But if ever reunited, the light and shadow would clash once more.

A prophecy arose from the fragments of that battle: when the darkness rises again, a new Goddess of Light will emerge, destined to restore the balance. And so, the world waited, its fate tied to the promise of her return.

Something is rising, a power born of formless shadows. It can destroy not only the mortal shell, but eradicate the very memory of what it touches. However, a mysterious gift opposes it - a force as elusive as it is powerful. Will its fleeting strength serve Dathion in his time of greatest need? A millennium of peace has rusted the swords and dulled the readiness of the scattered races. The shining realm of Asillia maintains an ancient promise - to watch and be prepared. For they will be the first to face the stirrings of evil, just as it was a thousand years ago. In that ancient time, fires of courage kindled from the breasts of men, igniting embers of hope in the other races. Now, when that hope is needed once more, the King sends his son. Only Dathion - heir prince of Asillia - can deliver the warnings to the members of the Ancient Alliance, and convey the importance of their need. If he fails, Asillia stands alone ...
