How I Married My Crush's Brother

He would never love me. He only wanted her. Her and always her. His brother however; was a different story.
I have been in love with Kane since I was
seven and we told each other our dreams under the cherry tree. He wanted to be a firefighter, and I had wanted to be a ballerina. I watched Swan Lake and the Nutcracker and read and re-read any books I could get on ballet lessons. I kept that dream- until I took ballet classes the summer I turned ten. I gave up ever learning a proper pirouette and never looked back. Kane never gave up on his dream.
Years later Kane is married to girl he calls the love of his life- his girlfriend Brittany. I was heartbroken...I was just as in love with him at twenty-seven as I had been at seven. When Kane's younger brother proposed that we get married I thought it was crazy. Ashton's high school sweetheart died in a tragic car crash when we were all in our twenties. Ashton had to watch her die before his eyes. He would never be over Violet and I would never be over Kane. Rather than live alone for the rest of our lives, I chose to marry my crush's brother.
