Dear readers,

This began as a school assignment but soon blossomed into something more-a story I felt I had to share.

Ariel, a 21-year-old girl, lives with her doctor parents, who are always working and seldom at home. Growing up in this quiet, distant household, she's become increasingly introverted. Recently, she's experienced the loss of her beloved grandmother, a blow that has caused her to retreat further into herself. She has built walls around her emotions, avoiding anything that might bring up feelings of grief or loss.

But everything begins to change when a family friend approaches her with an unexpected invitation-an invitation to a Wicca meeting. This introduces Ariel to a world that promises answers and healing in ways she never imagined. With her curiosity piqued, she decides to attend, unsure of what she's looking for but knowing she can't keep shutting herself off forever.

What happens next is a journey of self-discovery, transformation, and unexpected magic. As Ariel delves deeper into the world of Wicca, she finds more than she bargained for-a connection to herself, to others, and to a life that's been waiting for her to embrace it.

Read on to find out how Ariel's story unfolds.

This is the story of a girl born with an extraordinary gift-one that set her apart from the very moment she took her first breath. Ever since birth, she has been haunted by visions that intrude upon her waking hours and even invade her sleep. These spectral images and whispers, seen and heard only by her, have always been a double-edged sword: a mysterious window into another world and a constant source of torment. From childhood, her unusual abilities isolated her from her peers. While other children played freely, she was burdened with a secret world that no one could understand. Desperate to share her experiences, she once confided in her mother, only to be met with disbelief and dismissal. "It's all in your head," her mother insisted, leaving her to face the inexplicable alone. As she entered high school, her strange behavior and the eerie phenomena that accompanied her made her an easy target. Teasing and ridicule became a daily ritual at the hands of classmates who could not comprehend her reality. Yet, despite the relentless bullying, she never retaliated-not out of weakness or fear, but because she was determined never to inflict pain on anyone, even those who scorned her. Everything began to change when one fateful day, a young man stepped forward. For the first time, someone saw beyond her oddities and recognized the courage and compassion within. He defended her against the cruelty of others, sparking a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, she wasn't meant to be alone. In this haunting and heartfelt journey, she must learn to embrace her gift, unravel the mysteries of the visions that both curse and bless her, and navigate the delicate balance between isolation and acceptance in a world that fears what it does not understand.

Ranked #1 on Wattpad for "Cosmic Horror" and "Thought-provoking" Categories " When Rosie was younger, she'd always ask me why I spend so much time out in the garden. It wasn't until recently that I thought that she'd be able to understand, but now that she's gotten a bit older, she gets it. " Ariel then looks at Rosie and politely asks her a question. " Rosie, may I see the gift that Tom brought you? " " Sure mama! " Rosie says as she hands Ariel the golden rose and Ariel admires the beauty of the rose and the craftsmanship that it took to make it as detailed as it is. Ariel then speaks from the heart as she holds Rosie's gift in her hands. " The reason why I've cultivated Roses all my life is because of how much I love them and what they mean to me... I told Rosie that for someone to really love roses, their love and admiration for them would have to outweigh the fear of getting pricked by their thorns. To truly love a rose would be to accept the rose for everything that it is, thorns and all, and the people who can do that often share a similar outlook for the people that they love as well. They accept the people that they love for everything they are, regardless of whether those people have thorns... So in my eyes, a person who can truly love and admire roses is a person who understands what love really means.
