Sadie (Cassidy) Gray was an eldest daughter of an angry lawyer and an unhappy businessman. An older sister to a kid who found solace in the pages of Harry Potter. A girl who daydreamed hard enough and long enough to eventually create her own pages her younger brother could get lost in to escape the world happening to them.
Today, Sadie is known to the world as Sadie Cassidy, the girl who wrote a bestselling series at 15. She attends an Ivy League university, and is expected to come up with her next big idea prior to her book tour while also studying for finals. She is put together, self-sufficient, and doesn't need the support or help from anyone.
Until one night, a night in which the fallout results in her in the passenger seat of her Dad's truck for the first time in 5 years. The father that she ghosted sits behind the wheel, en route to their destination... Nowhere, Connecticut: A town she'd never been to before, that houses the new life that she never wanted to be included in.
She is forced to spend the summer with her Dad's new family, in this new small town, with characters she has no interest in getting to know. She is eager to make it the short term fix it is supposed to be, until Andrew (Drew) Harrison, the son of the local bookstore owner (obviously) and the golden boy of the shore town, bumps his way into her life.
With some writing, swimming, and a friendly Bunny, Sadie begins to rethink her stance on people, and maybe some people are there to stay.

"You should care, Dylan. You would still be living in the back of a car, stealing from Seven Eleven! Is that what you want?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The "Four Musketeers." That's what they called them. If they weren't all together they were two on two. And they give zero fucks about life. The Adopted one The Bad boy The Player The Best friend Dylan is like most troubled girls. She doesn't care about her grades, she skips school, hangs with the wrong crowds, and hates her parents. But of course there's a reason for all of this. Dylan is adopted. Dylan has always struggled with being adopted and she tends to fight everything in life. Many bad memories cause her to be the way she is. She desperately wants to forget her past, including some bad things she experienced, but the memories stay stuck in her mind. Dylan has three best friends who help her get by. The only three people she 100% trust and doesn't like to. They all have their own problems and lies they tell, but they help each other through it all. Especially her boyfriend Vince, who would do absolutely anything for her. He would die a thousand times over before anyone hurt Dylan. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Dylan's not just my whole life, she makes my life whole. Some days she's the only reason I get out of bed. Without her in my life there is no point in living. She's like the air I breathe. Without her I can't live. She's my best friend and I will love her to the day I die." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This summer Dylan gets the opportunity to do what every guidance counselor has claimed she's always wanted to do . . . split up her family. Will she realize splitting up her family won't help anything? Or will she just not care? After all she was abandoned once. He slid his hand to the small of my back as my grip on his shoulders tightend. My back arched on its own from the tingles he was creating by rubbing small circles with the pad of his thumb. I swear if he kept this up there would be small holes where his fingers once touched, from the burning trails of fire he was leaving every time he explored a little more. What this was I had no idea but from the quiet moans and groans escaping me, he and i both knew i wasn't anywhere near complaining. ----------- Another bestfriend cliche right? Not exactly, this one has a little more fiest! They say everything happens for a reason. Shyla Reese is from New York City,it's her home, her life, its where all her friends are and every memory she's ever made. But what happens when all that ends? When shyla is forced to leave it all behind because her dad got a new job that her mom insist is for "the better" and eventually "shyla will love the new star't." Yea right. But he is determined to show her that he's not the rude jerk she thinks he is and it was all just a misunderstanding. Follow Daniel and Shyla as they fight and discover their feelings for one another whille becoming bestfriends and eventually falling in love. When Willow Mayfair's life falls apart, her mother brings her to Briar Cove, the coastal town where she grew up. Living with Rebecca's childhood friend, a new world filled with love, excitement, and friendship opens up for both of them. This story is for everybody who also dreams of a fairy tale and won't care if the "knights" were a little dirty. "Grab a bunch of broken misfits, chuck them in a tribe, add some glitter and loads of weird-ass garbage, voila, you've got yourself a fairy tale... kinda... just... you know... minus the fairies..." Paisley Davenport This story is my happy place; I do not plan on ever finishing it. It will go on and on like a soapie. I might break it up into volumes later. This book is ideal for forgetting the world and becoming best friends with the characters. Please Note:- I'm currently rewriting this story to edit and enhance parts. I'm also breaking up long chapters. Though the reading flow will not be broken, the chapter numbers will become out of sync at the border between old and new. ♫ Genre: Slice of Life/Romance/Humour This is a slow-burn journey through love and life, filled with an array of beloved characters, their sad moments, happy moments and a multitude of bat-sh#t crazy moments. P.S.: This is not a fairy tale... ♫ This is a work of fiction. Any names or characters, businesses or places, events or incidents are fictitious. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. TW: Please be advised that this story contains references to violence (sexual and other), drugs, anxiety, mental health issues, abuse and other possibly upsetting themes.
