During Odin's conquest of the nine realms, you were captured and forced into working in the court, as a siren. After prince Loki served out his imprisonment, you and Thor are to accompany him to do community service with the avengers. 

However, you can't speak due to the collar keeping your voice in check, and Prince Loki seems to treat you the same as Odin- like an object, not a person
