The stones of time

Regret.

It's a funny word, right?

Some people hold none of it, couldn't give a damn about it.

Others, like me? It's all we ever think about. It's all we ever feel.

These days, I wonder if there'll ever be a day when I don't feel it.

And then I remember. All the shit we've pulled, all the blood, sweat, tears and effort, poured into what amounts to glimmering slivers of a time long past.

And it took far, far too long for me to realize how pointless it all was.

But it's too late.

Too late to take it all back.

Too late to rewrite history.

Too late to regret it.
