Leland Pearce was a writer in the making. His words broke more hearts than his looks. Never had he met someone who could reach his level of articulatory expression. "Leland I-" he puts his finger on my lips, silencing my words and my thoughts. My body stilled by just that one touch. Imagine how it would feel for his hands to- stop.
"Fuck vannia. I just," he runs his hand down his face, "it's so much easier writing my feelings down rather than saying them out loud." He says. I look into his eyes.

"Say it." I say. My hands sliding up his arms and onto the back of his triceps. He holds me captive with his stare. Eyes so stern they could steer a ship. He was never able to express anything correctly. It was always through the art of literature we learned to connect but I needed him to communicate this time. I needed him to say it. "Say. It." I press on.

He takes a deep breath and his eyes harden.
