When Y/n, the daughter of Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange, was born, her parents were trying to maintain appearances and were determined to keep their bloodline going. However, their marriage was loveless, and their desire for a child came from the need to pass on their bloodline. Unfortunately for Y/n, her mother quickly got promoted to a prominent role in the Death Eaters, and rather than try to juggle both being a top member of this organization and being a mother, Bellatrix decided to give Y/n to her sister to raise as a Malfoy. She also set up a vault that her daughter could access when she came of age. The choice to put Y/n with Narcissa and Lucius turned out to be a good one, as Bellatrix and Rodolphus eventually ended up in Azkaban.
