Angelina (Imagined as Nina Dobrev in "The Vampire Diaries") is an author in a large, but old city who just had her big break by writing her first, well-liked book, but now she is expected to write another in order to keep food on the table and a roof over her head. Struck by writers block, she is forced to try and find some inspiration. She comes across an old bookstore on the bad side of town but meets a mysterious, handsome man (Imagined as Thomas Doherty) who guides her through the writers block by taking her on the adventure of her life. Her best friend Asher (Imagined as Rudy Pankow), doesn't like this very much and tries to keep them apart. What will become of them? Will Asher succeed? Or will he fail miserably? Find out alongside Angelina as you read in her perspective.

It's easy to kill a person in the movies or in a book because it's fiction. But actually suck the life out of a living being and it be her new reality, that's a whole different ballgame. Nadine Burns must now learn to face being a Newborn vampire in a world where there is no kindhearted feelings and sunshine and rainbows. To top it all, she was turned by one of the most powerful vampire leaders in her city and must also learn how to parade around in vampire politics.
