Jade Etmount, the daughter of a almost-mad scientist, is one to go through the motions. After all, it was only by accident that she made the greatest discovery of the 21st century: another dimension parallel to our own, complete with superpowers. And it was by accident that she met a charming local... who immediately threw her into a plan to overthrow the government. Jade cuts a deal with him: her loyalty and fighting skills in exchange for passage home. If the unprepared Jade hopes to get home alive, she'll have to become strong in her will and learn to survive with the tragedies that inevitably await her.
