Ok so if any of y'all know the lore of splatoon y'all know that the octling have to live underground so I had an idea for this story it's a au (alternative universe) were Mario is a octling but he not like most other octling he's friendly but when ever he is seen by a inkling they hurt him so Mario is scared of Inklings but he doesn't like living underground so he still goes to the surface and during a trip on the surface he meets a inkling name meggy and he runs away and meggy follows him and Mario thinks that meggy will hurt him but she doesn't and they eventually become friends and Mario dream is to compete in splatfest and so with the help of meggy he accomplish his dreams and Luigi is also in this story and he's also a octling but he doesn't trust or meggy at first but he eventually does

She heard of rumors of the old subway station and she's seen another inkling who's told her that he's an agent...agent 4, near what seems to be a sewer?
