All animals are diseased. People eat these animals and they get infected. They genetically mutate due to this infection. People who are not yet infected are in danger. Landon is not infected. He is a scientist with a family and is trying not to get infected. He knows how the disease came to be, and it is up to him to find a cure. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This short story will be written in Landon's daughters point of view. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please tell me what you think of it. "You just have no idea." His voice was thick with restraint. "W-what," I breathed. His gaze flicked to my lips as his thumb stroked again.
