Tangled in Tradition

Sia's hands shook as she stood in front of him, the words she never thought she'd say burning on her lips.

"Arjun, I regret this marriage," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I wish it had never happened."

The room fell into a painful silence. Arjun's expression faltered, his eyes searching hers, as if trying to make sense of the impossible. "What do you mean? We can work this out please give this marriage a chance Sia"

"I never wanted this. I was pressured, and now..." She took a shaky breath, trying to hold back the tears. "And now I can't keep pretending."

The rawness in her voice cut through the air like a knife.

"I'm not the woman you think I am," she continued, her heart breaking with each word. "I don't belong here. Not with you."

Arjun stepped back, the hurt flashing across his face like a slap. "So, everything between us.. it means nothing?"

Her chest tightened. "I never asked for this life, Arjun, but I never wanted this marriage."

He stood there, still, as if time had frozen around them. His gaze was colder now, the hope that had once sparkled in his eyes replaced with a quiet devastation.

"If that's how you feel," he said, his voice low, "then I guess this was all a mistake."

With that, he turned and walked out, leaving Sia standing in the silence she had created. She had broken him. And now, there was no way to undo it.
