Heroes
In the world of Leben, villages are scattered across. The scorching blue star that lights the lands and brings day can burn you if you're out for too long. But the people have adapted to the heat. In most villages, there are such things called Protectors, which each village has from one to two of them, depending on the size. But what an old prophecy stated, was that the world would come to an end. Two boys were gifted unspeakable power at young ages, and when they learned of each other, they swore to protect the world, until one allowed the power to take the best of him. He lost in battle between his best friend and went out into hiding to work on his mischievous plans. As for the other boy, after defeating his best friend, his power turned him mad. The Mad Man was who he was known as, and he became a legend to all, only seeked by those in search of wise words. Now, these adolescent boys, meet. It was by coincidence, not by fate itself. The kids knew each other in another time. All they seeked was for new lives to live, for their old lives bored them, or were destroyed. They had no idea what awaits in store as they venture through all the lands of Leben, but once they reach the future, they'll learn of truths hidden by not only man, but the gods who man fear. * * * NOTE: Pictures do not belong to me, give credit to the original owners. Blissful Ignorance
This will likely a short story but I think I will aim to get more detailed in descriptions of things. They say Ignorance is blissful but that isn't always true for those that have to deal with the issues that others are ignorant of. The others are ignorant of how impactful their words can be, that doesn't mean the other side of the story isn't unaffected though. UA was meant to be better. They were meant to be less ignorant of the world's problems since they are aiming to be heroes! So why does it hurt so much? The past always catches up to you even when you don't want it to. The process is expensive, but well worth it to the rich and powerful who wish to become leaders, fighters, or practically anything.. However, there is one set of RB DNA that is coveted by everyone.. The DNA of the super powered heroes from the heroic era of the 22nd century. And those who are lucky enough to become heroes, are admitted into an academy. Dan Barns: Problem Solver
Book 1 of Dan Barnes Series. I am a single male with a degree in science and engineering. My name is Dan Barns, I was in the army for four years, worked in the private sector for five years with a six figure salary and was bored out of my mine. I grew a great nest egg, but I was not cut out to wear a suit and tie and then attend meetings everyday. I wanted so much more. I am six foot even, and I weigh around 186 on a bad day. My hair is brown with natural black streaks, and I have a nice tan. I love the great outdoors. I grew up as a single kid with a single parent who worked all the time. I aced science every time and fixed things for my mother and myself because of a lack of money. I never knew my dad, but once a year, my mother would get a check for my upkeep. My dad was a well traveled man and never stuck around after mom had me. Things were tough, but we made it. I got scholarships for my doctorate in both fields. I graduated as a doctor in six years. Problem that shaped me into the man I am today was, my mom died when I was 16 and I deicide to test out of school, joined the military, spent four years as special operative, and into college as an adult, I tested out of some of the easier classes. I kept the house because it was paid for and was in mine and my mother's name. I kept her truck, because it was also paid for and it helped when I need to remember her. I was twenty seven when I walked across the stage for my diploma and was sought after by some very big companies. I worked for one of these companies for five years and then I was bored. I retired at thirty one. I laid low, putting around my house, helping my neighbors, and helping out at the boys and girls club coaching basketball. For two years, I stayed in my own little piece of the gulf. I did not spend a lot of money, I fixed things, sold electric back to the electric company, and had fun with the teens. With the history now told, we can begin with some of my adventures.Complete

We don't even know where they are most the time since they go on business trips after business trips. They come for for a week at the most and leave again. My family is not rich, but not poor. We have more than enough money to get the nice things we want, but we have to earn them. My life sounds pretty interesting huh?Complete

They made friends. They began to thrive up there in the fluffy clouds. They had a second chance at a bright future... until it all got thrown down the drain. Their foster mom always did say their short fuse would be the death of them. Now, Kit is in hell. A fallen angel that is also a minor. Not the best combination in this scenario. Thankfully, they get taken in by a certain princess with a heart of gold. Will they survive this new turn of events? ... oh, and the group gets to meet more of the great king of hell's family! It is extremely rare, and most people born with the defect are made aware of their powers at a young age due to their powers erupting, forcing most to go into hiding to avoid being experimented on by the government. Those who do not hide, die. The government hasn't been able to get their hands on a mutated being, mainly due to a secret organisation aiding in the hiding and training of those individuals. This same organisation has gone to deadly lengths just to make sure the government has little to no information about their powers. People with powers and this organisation are viewed as an old wives tale by the rest of the world, made up to gain traction. The world will soon know how real it truly is.
