Palak's eyes welled with fear. She tried to pull her face out of his grip, but his fingers only tightened.

"Now," Aarav continued, his lips curling into a dark smile, "you'll see what I do to you... and to your family. The one you were so desperately safeguarding. Let's see how long they can protect you now."

"Don't?" he mocked, his eyes burning with a cold intensity. "You don't get to tell me what to do anymore."
