After a fungal infection wiped out most of
humanity, the world is overrun by grotesque,
hive-minded creatures known as the Tethered. Survivors live in scattered enclaves, often
ruled by fear and desperation. In one such
settlement, Kieran, a sharp-tongued
scavenger with a reputation for being reckless,
finds herself paired on a supply run with Arden,
a resourceful but guarded mechanic.
What starts as a reluctant partnership evolves
into a bond of trust as they are forced to flee
their settlement when it is overrun by both the Tethered and hostile raiders. As they navigate a broken world, their growing feelings for one
another threaten to make them vulnerable in a
place where weakness can mean death.
