Is it true that friends are like family? Or does that saying only apply to some? The truth is that my friends are everything, but not a family. My name is Joan, a typical Dominican teenager living in New York. With many friends, but with a specific group with whom everything seemed rosy, until everything turned black.

And it is that after a series of events that caused everyone in my group of friends to end up hating Austin, my cousin, who was mysteriously murdered so that he would not reveal the truth of who was behind all the events that were happening and that pointed to him, but which he flatly denied.

Austin died, but it did not end there, and it is that his murderer has not been discovered, and apparently he has not yet tired of destroying the lives of my group of friends, but is it really him who is causing our separation or are we? ourselves? Who is the murderer and what does he want to achieve with all this? The funny thing is that one of my friends is the person behind it all.

While tortured and held captive as a prisoner of war, she became my reason to keep breathing. The force that fueled my will to fight. To survive. When I woke after the rescue to discover the life I thought I was coming home to was but a figment of my imagination, hallucinations brought about by pain, desperation, and isolation... it nearly broke me. Fifteen years since I first lost her, at last, we have a second chance. Holding her in my arms, finally feeling the warmth of her skin as she melts under my touch, is like a dream. She and her two little girls are now as essential to my existence as the air I breathe. However, just as things start falling into place, the universe steps in, threatening to take it all away. I used to think that choosing her cost me everything I'd ever loved, but now I see that in choosing her and her children, I have the chance to reclaim all that I lost. They are my salvation. My true path to redemption. Which is why I'll leave no stone unturned, why I will scorch this world to the ground if that's what it takes to save them. And when I do, I will fight to convince her once and for all they are meant to be mine, just as I was destined to be theirs. In the Broken Redemption Series, one man's vow to protect the woman he lost becomes a battle between redemption, forgiveness, and the kind of love that refuses to let go. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is Book 3 of Lucas & Emilia's Broken Redemption arc, the emotional conclusion to their story. Ocean Goldreich is the sister I never had. Or at least, her brothers put that thing in my mind. I tried my best to look at her as my very own sister and it worked... for at least these whole year, until I met her again in Finland and somehow she looked even more perfect than I remember. And finally after all these years I gave in to my lust toward her. We crossed the lines with the promise that we will be back as brother and sister again afterward. Can I do that? The answer is bullshit. How can I look at her as my sister when all I can remember from her is our nights together. But she was so adamant to keep our relationship as best friends slash sister brother. Seriously, Ocean? Drew Roderick, I had a crush on him in all my teenage life. But he broke my heart again and again when he just looked at me as his little sister. And now, when I was over him (or I think I was), he came back to me and acted sweetly intimate romantic and whatever is far from the brotherly attitude. I tried to push him away, but I couldn't because the truth is I want him more than just a brother. Can we cross the line? The line that my brothers put is so thick between us. But, suddenly things in our life changed. Now I'm a mother of a little baby, Charlene. We have Charlene now. I can't let my lust override my brain. I have Char in stake. But why did Drew act like we are really a happy family? We are far from family. Just co-parenting a baby, right? Words {[150.000-200.000]}

Every time our eyes met, it felt like joy itself recognized me-as if something sweet and familiar had been waiting just beneath the surface of ordinary days. The world was coming undone around me, losing shape, losing sense, and then you arrived-not as a solution, but as something given, something sacred, to make up for everything that never made sense. I don't know how to live forward without you-not well, not truthfully. I'm just one of your ordinary children, a strand in the thread of this wild, beautiful family, but if you're not woven in, I don't think the rest of the tapestry matters. I can't imagine a world for Kinsle where your voice doesn't rise somewhere in the wind, guiding, grounding, reminding us how to belong. I've never done well with change, with discomfort, with the unfamiliar-I've been enduring what everyone calls the "normal stuff," and none of it feels normal if you're not there. Who could ever be more than you? Who could ever outshine you? I never asked for much in this life-never longed for things, never chased material gold-pero mukhang hindi ko yata kaya na mawala ka sa akin. I don't think I could bear it. And yet, that's what people say. When they hold something so precious, their soul aches-they always say, "Hindi ko kakayanin kung mawawala ka." "Hindi ko kaya mamuhay ng wala ka." I say it too, but what makes me different? What would it take for this ache to be more than just another echo? Maybe it starts here-with trembling, with truth, with admitting that I've heard the words "Do not be afraid" more times than I can count, and still, I am. No one ever said that faith sometimes stutters. And that, too... might be holy.

The missing link

15 parts Complete

Somewhere there's a link between the zombies and the humans, that we were once all human, until an accident of lime green soda. I am supposedly that missing link between the two. I like being different, I want to stand out, Seabrook is all about cheer, but I'm all about theatre. I was born with the blonde hair, and human colored pale skin, but my eyes are different colors. We think somewhere down the line a human fell in love with a zombie and just like Romeo and Juliet were pulled away. Since I was "normal" enough I can stay on the human side, my parents are great, but closeminded. My sister is wonderful, she's got something to hide too. To hide my eyes, I have to wear a contact in the one different colored eye, and supposedly I'm also just zombie enough that I need the Zband. I don't have many friends, mostly just my family, like my sister and my cousin. At least those who I consider family.... I do not own these characters
