**SEQUEL TO LOVERS FROM THE PAST** The initiation was not finished when you were announced as the next host after Il-Nam's passing. You had to be the host for a couple of years, but eventually, per the contract of Il-Nam, you had to enter the games. It was simple, well kind of. You knew In-ho wouldn't kill you. He'd be fuming that he wasn't informed who the host was but he wouldn't kill you... right? Surely not? This made your decision easy. It's not like you had a choice anymore, anyhow. But the satisfaction of knowing you could win money, play games, and more than likely not be killed was easy. The only problem here was that without In-ho knowing that you were chosen as the new host, he was not up for bending the rules. Meaning he didn't tell the guards to spare you should you be eliminated. Therefore, it will be up to you to survive this hell hole...at least until In-ho, or should one say, Young-il arrives. In-ho loves to play games, especially when it comes to initiating someone into the Squid Games. So what's going to happen when he realizes the new host who is being put up for initiation is you? When he realizes that he did not tell a soul who player 225 was and that your life was just as much at stake as any other player?

You cost me everything, but I'll pay. Just another pawn at first, another desperate soul with debts too deep to escape. But as I watched you fight, watched you claw your way through every twisted game I created, I realized you were different. Special. But wanting you has a cost. Do you even know what I've paid to keep you here? How much blood I've spilled, how many lives I've crushed, just to see you one more time? Money is meaningless. Power is a tool. But you? You're the prize. I know it's madness, but what's one more debt to pay when I've already gambled away everything? Even if it destroys us both, I'll have you. You're worth the ruin. In this game, no one escapes-not even you. - Hwang In-ho / Young-il / Frontman [ SEASON 2 FIC CONTINUATION ]
