Two years ago, Lila and Eli shared a brief, electrifying connection on holiday-eye contact, flirty banter, even a goodbye kiss, and the kind of tension you only feel in a summer romance. But when they parted ways, neither of them expected to see each other again-until Lila transfers to a new school and finds herself face-to-face with Eli on her first day.

As Lila navigates her new life, she quickly becomes close with Aria, her confident, outgoing new friend. Meanwhile, Eli is stuck in his own tangled mess-his best friend, Harry, has had his eyes on Lila since the moment he saw her. Eli knew that Harry, with his assertive nature and the way he always got what he wanted, would never allow him to pursue Lila, so he stepped back, suppressing his feelings to avoid a confrontation he knew he'd lose. However, as Harry gets closer to Lila, Eli can't help but watch, consumed by jealousy and frustration.

As their lives continue to collide at parties and school events, the simmering tension between Lila and Eli can't be ignored. They both start to play a dangerous game of jealousy. Eli gets closer to Lila's new found friend, Aria, whilst Lila continues to get closer to Eli's best friend, Harry.

With emotions running high and feelings left unsaid, Lila must decide if she's willing to risk everything for a chance with Eli. But in a world where loyalties are tested, the jealousy game might just break them all.

**Synopsis:** Lila Cross has always been the outcast. As the daughter of the weakest pack in the region, she's spent her life overlooked and undervalued. With her 18th birthday fast approaching, Lila knows she's supposed to find her mate, but with no one willing to even glance at her, that seems impossible. Worse, her wolf has a stubborn, untamable nature that refuses to be ignored or controlled-something the more dominant wolves of her pack find incredibly frustrating. When Lila is sent to Wolfsbane Academy, a prestigious school for young werewolves, she hopes for a fresh start. Instead, she finds herself thrust into a world of ruthless competition and simmering tension. The most dangerous student at Wolfsbane is Kaden Black, a vicious, arrogant heir to an alpha bloodline who seems determined to make Lila's life miserable. With his piercing gaze and wolf's dominant personality, Kaden sees her as nothing more than an easy target. But Lila's wolf isn't backing down, and neither is she. As Kaden's teasing turns to something more dangerous, the line between hate and attraction blurs, and Lila begins to wonder if the mate bond she's been waiting for might not come in the form she expected. With every challenge at the academy, Lila's strength and determination are tested, and she discovers that sometimes, the fiercest love is born from the most unlikely places. In a world where power is everything, can Lila survive Kaden's games, uncover the secrets of her past, and finally claim the power within her, or will she be broken by the one person she never saw coming?

The Best Kind of Betrayal

35 parts Complete

It's the first day of June's senior year and everything is already going wrong. Her first boyfriend and supposedly love of her life dumps her for someone else, her heart is broken and feels like it won't ever heal again and her best friend makes her join the most unnecessary club on earth to help her find new friends she most definitely does not need. Still. New chances are for new beginnings, right? Instead of falling into a deep dark pit of self pity (however tempting that may sound), all of this betrayal ends up leading her to the best friends she's ever had and the most exciting school year of her life. Oh - and a whole new fake boyfriend, to get some revenge on that idiot who dumped her. And who knows. Maybe even more.
