William is a teenager who lives on the outskirts of the forest with his elderly stepmother, Matilda. Everything seems to be like any other day, until after a small adventure in the woods, he meets old Cornelius. A strange man who lives alone in a hut beneath the trees, has a special bond with animals, and knows how to tell beautiful stories. This encounter will lead to a good friendship, as well as a huge change in William's life.

One cold autumn day, Cornelius tells the story of Idelmir, a distant world full of endless beauty and creatures of all kinds. However, the Shadow of the powerful and cunning Witch Ethel has covered Idelmir and the creatures that live there. An ancient prophecy speaks of Namhaid, the enemy of the Shadow, and the time when he will free Idelmir from the tyranny of the Witch and her dark army. William is fascinated by this story but is shocked when he learns that Namhaid is none other than himself.

A girl in a white veil, the forest calls her to itself. She will be lost in it forever. A quiet voice, a whisper leads his bride far away. Somewhere there stands an old castle, a cursed prince dwells within its walls. When the full moon rises in the night sky, the monster awakens. The white veil of the bride turns crimson. A story as old as time. Nereyeny ran towards the forest as if her life was at stake. She hesitated for a moment before crossing the line of no return. She looked back at the place where she had grown up, lived, and was supposed to die and lie in the ground there forever. All her life layed there, everything except the one thing she longed for the most. Freedom. "Nereyeny!" They were already looking for her. She couldn't afford to hesitate any longer. She turned on her heel and stepped into the darkness. She knew that no one would dare to chase her there. Only a fool. People were afraid of the cursed forest. Eyes watching your every step. Whispers leading you into the void. Creatures from the depths of hell itself. They say dark forces dwell there, no one who goes in will ever come out. And Nereyeny was proof that it was all a lie, spending almost every day there, running under the treetops like a wild wolf. She didn't believe those tales. About the full moon. About the proud prince. About the curse. Until she too became one of those lost in its bowels. Trapped in the same trap as Prince Astreus, son of the Sun and the Moon. A proud prince, real, made of flesh and blood, who is not at all like she has heard of him. At least the fairy tales are wrong about one thing. And maybe they are wrong about everything. Secrets, pride, the whims of the gods, and maybe even fate itself. A burnt-out faith in breaking the curse. Nereyeny must now find a way out before the next full moon comes and the monster finds her.

What story does the forest keep and what story does it tell? Upon her induction into the king's army, Tallethea Ousin is asked to transport her childhood enemy, the prince of Tuisedor, through treacherous forest in order to protect him from the Blood Queen of Slerian. However, nothing is as it seems in Tuisedor's dark woods. Once their journey begins, the two adversaries find they must work together to survive the malevolent intentions of the forest herself and reach their destination before time is up. Meanwhile, the Crown Prince of Tuisedor haunts his window, awaiting the arrival of war from two neighboring kingdoms, Slerian and Rughwen. Cast upon the throne, he must do what it takes to protect his kingdom, even if that means navigating slippery politics, bold princesses, and cunning queens alike. When curses converge and curses are broken, what is left to be said of the soldier, the poet, and the king? It all lies within one question: what story does the forest keep and what story does it tell? Well, it tells its own of course... *Content Warnings* Hello Darlings, I just want to preface that this book contains a few triggering themes including gore, horror, some sexual misconduct, abuse, mental illness, as well as some profane language. Prince Sorem approaches magic the way he approaches women--with caution and distrust. However, Sorem must go up against the ultimate magic now. His cousin, cursed by the corrupted Fairy King he serves, spends each day in anguish. The responsibility of remedying this falls to Sorem--Killing the Fairy King. Sorem can't do it directly and risks the wrath of all the fairies. He must find a scapegoat. Opportunity arrives in the form of a naive hunchback, perfect for sending off to his doom. But the hunchback isn't alone. His beautiful, and possibly stolen, wife dutifully travels by his side. Not only is her comings and goings carefully monitored, her husband keeps her barely dressed as she frequently answers his physical needs. This is no behavior for a princess. She awakens a sense of longing in Sorem that he'd never encountered. But should her husband visit a slight on the fairies, all that belongs to him will suffer--including her. The race is on for Sorem to find a way to set her free of the enchantment she's under and help her realize that gorgeous princesses deserve--belong with--handsome princes. Not hunchbacks.
