Tethered Paths

Lucia Bianchi is the daughter of an infamous mafia boss in Napoli, Edoardo Bianchi. Lucia is a 21-year-old girl with the world's weight on her shoulders. Since a young age, she has been trained to be perfect, she learned her place within the mafia world and knows her duties and responsibilities to her family. Lucia is the only child of Edoardo as her mother passed away before Lucia could ever remember her, and with the misfortune of being born a woman, she could never be an heir to her father's empire.
For this sake, Edoardo has struck a bargain with another powerful and deadly man in Italy, Leonardo Rossi. His eldest son, Ciro is next in line to inherit his father's business. Her father has signed her off to the Rossi family. She and Ciro are set to marry, their union is one solely of power, a merge of the two great empires.
Ciro is just a few years older than Lucia but is a ruthless man nonetheless. He is a very reserved and calm man. He keeps to himself and prefers to be alone and is known to be a man of very few words.
Ciro and Lucia have never met, they're simply two kids forced to marry, and no matter how hard they try to escape their fate, their paths are forever tethered.
