In a world populated by humans and vampires, the two species are entirely separate, but vampires entirely dependent on the blood of humans. The rarer and more favoured the blood type, the more filling it is. However, it also results in stronger cravings and more intense outbursts if they are not fulfilled.
A human girl meets a vampire boy, who fled from his home after accidentally killing his twin brother in an outburst. When he meets this girl, she seems like nothing special, but something draws him in, and he can't live without it.
