Until the wedding does us part // Duskwood AU

Both Jake Donfort and Macie Connors have had a bad experience in their last relationship, both dedicating themselves to their jobs.

When pressure from her cousin's future wife over her criticism of her life pushes her to the edge, Macie decides to use her neighbor to pretend he's her boyfriend and take him as a guest, to whom she accidentally and unknowingly broke his computer, promising to pay for another one if he accompanies her.

Jake, the young man Macie is going to use as a fake boyfriend, is not convinced by the idea, but he accepts not only because of the payment for his computer, but also because he sees the young woman's nerves, on the condition that they will not speak to each other again when the wedding is over.

While they both pretend to be a couple, Macie will try to figure out what she wants in her life while she meets her new "boyfriend" and Jake will try to close a wound that affected him in the past, seeing that perhaps it is not so bad to open up to someone again.
