"You call yourself a man?" she shot back, her voice fierce despite the pain. Her baby blue eyes blazed with a fire that rivaled his fury.

"Who couldn't defeat the King and now uses his power against a defenseless woman," she spat, her words cutting through his ego like a blade.

His lips curled into a sinister smile, a dangerous calm settling over him. "The woman whose sharp little mouth caused a war," he said, his voice chillingly quiet. He leaned closer, his eyes glinting with malice. "Let's see what else that mouth can do."
