After the Second Titan war, the seven, along with Thalia, Grover, and the rest of the campers at Camp Half-Blood, finally get a chance to rest, or so they thought...

When a new camper comes to Camp, Chiron and a few others can sense a strong aura coming from him, meaning: He was a child of one of The Big Three. 
When a strange-looking trident floats above the new camper's head one day, all attention turns to him, including Annabeth's (SPOILER) as if they were bewitched, however, Percy is oblivious to all this, thinking that all his friends, and girlfriend are turning their backs on him, it also doesn't help that the new camper was one of Annabeth's closest friends when she was five.

Percy leaves, distraught, after one big fight with Annabeth and is soon greeted by Chaos, offering him a deal: To become the Captain of the Chaos Mob. Percy gets to choose who is on his team, people who are long dead.

Aside from fighting the bad guys' army, Percy and Nico also have to deal with nosy campers *cough* Annabeth *cough* trying to look under their hoods, stalking them, and generally not minding their own business.
