(Hajime POV. Major spoilers for danganronpa 2: goodbye despair and danganronpa 3: end of hope's peak high school, you have been warned. also this is my first time publishing so it's probably not gonna be very good 😔)

Your whole life has been boring. You grew up in a decent, wealthy family but you yourself are talentless. You bring nothing to this world, is what you've told yourself since you can remember. But Hope's Peak high school, a school that accepts only the most elite students across all of Japan, convinces you that there really is something that gives you a purpose. Only problem is, you're talentless. Completely talentless, you'd never be accepted into a school like Hope's Peak. That is until Hope's Peak introduces a new program, the Reserve Course.

To get into this course, you don't need any talent whatsoever. You just need to pay an astronomical entrance fee, which isn't a problem for your fairly wealthy parents who agree to pay for you to get in. On your first day, you stand before the incredible building, truly feeling like you finally have a purpose. That is until you remember, you still don't even have a talent. Hell, do you even deserve to be here? Is what you ask yourself as you stand looking up at the towering school before you. A few minutes pass by in what seem like seconds, and the students of the main course start entering the gates to their part of the school. You stand still in the middle of a crowd of ultimate students, all cheerful and excited to start their first year at Hope's Peak. You stay there, watching the world go by, until you feel someone bump into you...
