The Kidnapped Bride

It is 2050, and Julio Pilas, 40, returns to his home on the island of Sardinia to help care for his elderly father. When he returns, he is shunned by his community and family because he was a former porn star who got back to his homeland. The unacceptance is difficult to bear, but his father's wish is to live and die in Sardinia.

However, Sardinia is facing a population crisis and is implementing programs to motivate foreigners, especially women, to move there. One such person is Helena Marquez, 33, who has been hired as a special education teacher alongside her best friend, Dan, 33. While getting acquainted with the traditions and the new environment, Helena and Julio meet and become enamored with one another. Julio hopes he can have a new beginning, but Dan challenges his hopes. Desperate to keep the population in check, the Sardinia Government permits its male citizens to practice its old tradition that was outlawed: Bride Kidnapping.

Julio is desperate to have Helena and wants to woo her. However, with Dan in the way, he feels he must take drastic measures. Will Julio woo Helena and motivate her to stay in Sardinia, or will he succumb to following the island's traditions and force her to stay there until the end of her days?
