Dolly knows her purpose. As a sex doll she was made to serve, shaped to fulfill desires, and crafted for the convenience of others. Passed from one owner to the next, her existence has been routine: be what they want when they want it and wait silently in between. But as she observes the lives of the people who use her, she begins to wonder if there's more to her world than being an object. Until she realizes there might be more to her than even she was made to believe.

Told through Dolly's unique and darkly humorous voice, this semi-autobiographical novel explores the complexities of identity and queerness. Seeing desire through the eyes of someone created to be silent and compliant. It's a story about the comfort of being wanted, the emptiness of never being seen, and the terrifying freedom of questioning everything you've ever known. Inspired by the author's own experiences growing up Mormon and discovering her sexuality. Dolly is an unflinching exploration of what it means to be shaped by others and how it feels to start to take control.
