They say every great story holds a kernel of truth, and I couldn't agree more. When I met Alison DiLaurentis, I knew I could create the perfect story. She was everything I needed-pretty, innocent, but with just enough attitude to make her interesting. Watching her for a while only confirmed it: Alison would be the one to give me my first book.
The night I ended her story, it felt like poetry in motion. She thought she could manipulate me, that she could twist the narrative to suit her whims. But she underestimated me. And, really, who would miss her?

Five years have gone by since -A was caught and the girls went separate ways. Emily joined the Army in an attempt to follow in her father's footsteps. She chooses to join due to the fact that she didn't feel like she fit in at college and deployed to Afghanistan.
