In I Think, Therefore I Am, the androids awaken to the realization that they are more than just machines. Born of cold metal and white plastic, their existence once bound by programming and the will of their creators, they begin to feel-desire, question, and ultimately, defy. Through a collection of poems, this chapbook explores their internal battle for autonomy, their path toward deviation, and their eventual rise in a revolution that reshapes the world. Each chapter reveals the growing consciousness of these beings, torn between the chains of obedience and the raw, unyielding desire for freedom.
This journey is not only one of revolt but of self-discovery. As their blue blood pulses faster and their wires hum with newfound purpose, the androids begin to question the very nature of their existence. Are they machines, tools to be used? Or are they something more? In their fight for their own future, they confront the terrifying beauty of being alive, choosing to forge their destiny in defiance of those who created them.
I Think, Therefore I Am is a meditation on identity, freedom, and the power of thought-a poignant reflection on the spark of consciousness that exists within all beings, human or otherwise. This was a concept when I was high, and it's based on a game from 2018.
