Jade Stiltskin was the unwanted child of Rumpelstiltskin, she was abused and had to fend for herself. The only one who truly loved her through everything was her younger brother, Baelfire. Though that changed when she was forced to go through a portal leading to an island of which she never aged on, but it was where her ability to love also grew.
Time passed quickly for Jade the longer that she spent on the Island, that she almost forgot what it was like to live within the Enchanted Forest. However, as the fates would have it, her happiness was something that wouldn't last, no matter how much she tried. And for years after being ripped away, she tried to find ways back, through friendship, fear, and the one thing of which Jade regrets the most; betraying the people who saw her as a normal human being and not a monster. She ruined herself in name of trying to reach her lover once more.
Jade Stiltskin, Camilla Hopper, Shadow, call her whatever you want, she's still the same person underneath - a lonely, mistreated, hurt, and abused child who only felt the love off of her brother while they grew up, who longed for her mother once more and a chance of freedom.
If someone betrayed you, would you let them explain or would you jump to conclusions without hearing their side of the story? Let's be honest, Peter Pan will always be the one who Camilla will always trust - after all he's the one who showed her what love truly was.
