NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE LIVE-ACTION MULAN! Editing in Progress Excerpt: As Shang watched, a small dark head shot out of the water downstream of the searching men but not quite as far downstream as the horse. Relief shot through Shang. Then the horse screamed in panic and Shang saw Ping turn in the water and take off after the horse. The boy would reach the frantic animal before anyone else! With a curse, he took off down the shoreline. He watched helplessly as Ping reached the horse and began to cut the creature free of its confines with a knife he had somehow managed to hang on to in the river. He saw when the horse finally came free, reared up in the water and then came back down...directly on top of Ping! With an inarticulate shout of fear, Shang threw himself into the river and swam out to where he had seen Ping disappear under the horse. The other men had caught up, then, and were working to calm the frantic animal and get it to shallower, calmer waters. The wagon and all the supplies it carried were lost to the river. Shang dove beneath the surface and began to search frantically in the dark, churning water for any sign of Ping. Description: What would happen if Shang found out that Mulan was a girl before the battle in the mountains? Would he follow the law and reveal her for who she truly is or would he allow her to continue her training as a soldier and hope that she makes it through the war alive and undiscovered? Will he listen to honor or to his heart?

Part 4 In her previous life, as Yun Xi lay on her deathbed due to a terminal illness, her famous painter husband said to her heartlessly, "Yun Xi, let's get a divorce. I would never marry you if I knew that your sister was the one who saved me." Yun Xi was dumbstruck. It was actually her who saved Mo Ran! She struggled to look at her sister, Yun Lian to see what was going on. Yet, what she saw made her heart sink into her stomach. Yun Lian lowered her gaze as she said, "Sister, I'm sorry. My Brother-in-law and I truly love each other. I've been hiding this for so long now, and I can't hide it any longer." Yun Xi suddenly felt her world spin, and the past flashed through her head. Her sister had always asked her about how she saved Mo Ran in detail and constantly stood between her and Mo Ran. He gradually became more distant from her - was that all for the sake of today? When she opened her eyes, Yun Xi realized that she was not dead. Instead, she had returned to that summer day when she was competing with Yun Lian for an opportunity to go to school. It was on this day that Yun Xi offered her most precious opportunity! Now that she was given another chance at life, Yun Xi swore to take back what was hers. Whatever Yun Lian took from her, she would have Yun Lian pay everything back! As for her ex-husband, Mo Ran, Yun Xi decided to let Yun Lian have him. Yun Xi did not want him anymore. However, the new Yun Xi, who had now become more aloof instead of her old humble self, was further loved by the world. Even that unattainable man started paying her attention?!

This is the story of Mulan as told by Lee Shang. (Disney 1998 version) *story excerpt* The medic cleared his throat. "General, it's the soldier... Ping," the medic said. "What happened? Is he okay?" I crouched down next to the medic, my chest filling with worry. "Um Fa Ping is... um..." the medic looked at me nervously. "Is he dead?" I whispered, hardly daring to breathe. The medic shook his head slowly. "Then what? What could possibly be so bad that you cannot tell me?" I asked, taking the medic's shoulders in my hands and shaking him. "Tell. Me." The medic gulped and looked up breathing shakily. "Fa Ping is... he's... um..." the medic closed his eyes and took a breath. When he opened them again, his face was set. "Fa Ping is a woman."
