(A/N) These characters just came to me one night. I never felt the need to write before that moment, so this is all a first for me. The story flowed from my mind to my keyboard late at night and I just fell in love with it all. So please share any comments you may have, and any errors will be noted and corrected, please be kind to this newbie. I am looking forward to reading any feedback. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read and evaluate my story.
Excerpt from prequel...
“Why?” She finally screamed at him. He was a broken man. His skin was blistered and burnt, bleeding from the fissures she had caused. The smell overwhelmed her for a moment.
He gasped in a breath, and she realized he must have inhaled some of the flames Christopher had surrounded him in when she had allowed him to breathe again. “Power.” He rasped. “Your force here alone is evidence of what you can be when you combine with him.” He looked towards Christopher’s prone form on the ground. “The child was an unknown…”
“And now she will never be!” She hissed at him. “But neither will you. You should have left us in peace. We would never have come for you.” She leaned in until she was face to face with him. “You lost your life when you took my daughters.” She saw the fear fill his eyes again, and she revealed in it. Without breaking eye contact she pictured his beating heart, her eyes narrowed as she crystallized his life source. His eyes widened as he felt her actions, he clasped a hand to his chest and drew in a staggered breath. “Two by two… You think…you…are removing…the serpents head, but…you know so little…” He gasped his last words. She raised her chin and with a firm set of her jaw, she watched the man die.

He watched as her eyes skimmed over his dark eyes and black hair with barely a reaction. He felt his pride twinge a bit so he went further. Lifting his hands, he let the blood drip from them. Her eyes widened slightly and her chin rose. She looked at his hands then back at him. His dark eyes gleamed in a challenge. "You've not harmed me or mine, faery." She spoke out loud. "Blood does not scare me and neither do you. Keep your dog on its leash." Then she turned and calmly walked back inside. Intrigued now, he went to the window of the house and watched as she reassured her mother that the dog was gone "I'll see you tonight, reckless child." He promised softly. **** Marcus felt himself beginning to wake and struggled to stay in the dream. But it was no use. His eyes opened and he released the pillow his hand was gripping. It was the same one that she had laid her head on every night. His head went into the pillow heavily for a moment, breathing in her faint scent. He hated and treasured dreams like that with equal fervor. He rolled over on his back and stared at the ceiling. It had been decades since she'd been forced to break that promise. He lifted his hand and touched the ring that had been her last gift. It had been decades, but it was yesterday. ***I did not skimp on the steamy scenes so consider yourselves warned ok? There are also a few violent scenes that I'll try to remember to put a warning before so you'll have a heads up. Any of the pictures/artwork were found online so I reserve no rights to those just the story. But I do reserve all rights to the story. She stepped closer to him, their lips only mere centimeters apart. His hot, minty breath sent tingles up her legs as she yearned to taste them. There was no need in waiting, she knew what she wanted and she would have it. --- Being the head woman in charge comes with many perks. She knew his identity. He didn't know hers. She just wanted to have him around. He didn't. She knew they could not be together. He didn't. She didn't plan for longer. But he did. What will happen when he comes to know her real identity? Will he be able to stop himself in time from falling or will she have to face his wrath for hiding the truth. __________ "Do you believe in love?" He whispered in her ears making her jump. He was close, no, too close. She could feel his breath and hear her heart beat pounding very fastly. She took a few steps back to get her personal space secured. "You scared me." "Sorry, that was unintentional and I did not know that you are that weak." He smirked at her. "I am not weak.. That..." she saw him taking a step towards her. She gulped and then continued. ".. is a..." Another step. ".. normal.." One more step closer. ".. reaction." Another step. By now, he was again within her personal space. "I think we should go and see if Natey is done with her books." She whispered and laughed nervously and turned back only to be hold and pulled back to a hard chest. He had purposely swirled her along with him, changing their position. His front was dangerously touching her back. "It's a weak who always run away showing back." He whispered in her ears, his breaths touching her neck. She remained silent tears rolled down her eyes damage caused by my words were clearly visible in her eyes , I am dying to hug her comfort her but the betrayal the, damge ,the pain I am carrying all these years stopped me from doing so. She asked in painful voice looking straight in my eyes , my heart clenched painfully on her condition , I wiped her tears and whispered so softly that she can't hear it. DISCLAIMER: NEEDS MAJOR EDITING THAT I'M SLOWLY GETTING TO I know this is wrong, yet I let it continue. I should stop this, but I can't seem to be able to. As wrong as this feels, I keep at it.
