In the year 2024, a research mission to resurrect the dead went horribly wrong. Caius Alquizar is the last mutant human survivor in a zombie-infested city. After dying in a zombie siege, his soul travels back in time, to the day before the catastrophe began, twenty-one years ago. With memories of the future, Caius swears to protect the people he cared for and save his past lover. This time, he'll do whatever it takes to prevent the tragedy he once lived through. However, it seems that fate has a strange sense of humor, as his soul has inexplicably transmigrated into a mushroom!
Now, trapped in a tiny, helpless body, Caius must figure out how to survive in a world that will soon turn into a doomed wasteland, all while trying to find a way back to his true form. Can he still save those he loves, or has fate dealt him a crueler hand than he could have ever imagined?
In order to change his fate, Caius has to find a way to survive while facing new dangers from both the undead and those who stand in his way.

The total number of countries and nations been halved since then. The world though, was quick to adapt from being a post-war wasteland to a modern utopia. The New World Government was set-up and now faces a new problems. Another thing, Since the war was fought with tremendous amounts nuclear arsenals, this war caused mutations to humans. The mutation occurred on atomic and cellular level. From minimal mutations to major mutations like physical, temporal and elemental mutations. Though its cool to have those mutations some think it as a curse for human beings. Scientists on the other hand claims it as a disease. A cellular disease caused by the widespread exposure to nuclear radiations. They call this disease as X-men syndrome referenced from 20th century fictional comics. The fictional mutations on comics and manga is now a reality. I myself, is an X-men.
