Panem has been engulfed in chaos at the hands of the first rebellion, and the Capital has taken a step to end it all, to put the rebels in their place. They want to make sure it never happens again, hence they form a way to ensure this. They create a fight-to-the-death between twenty four children, two from each district, in which only one can make it out alive. The Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games - Broadcast of Survival
War, terrible war. Widows, orphans, a motherless child. This was the uprising that rocked our land. Thirteen districts rebelled against the country that fed them, loved them, protected them. Brother turned on brother until nothing remained. And then came the peace, hard fought, sorely won. A people rose up from the ashes and a new era was born. But freedom has a cost. When the traitors were defeated, we swore as a nation we would never know this treason again. And so it was decreed that, each year, the various districts of Panem would offer up, in tribute, one young man and woman to fight to the death in a pageant of honor, courage and sacrifice. The lone victor, bathed in riches, would serve as a reminder of our generosity and our forgiveness. This is how we remember our past. This is how we safeguard our future. This year 24 new tributes have been reaped, all with one objective, survive. But who will win? So this is just a dumb fanfic I wrote about my friends at college, its not meant to be taken seriously and I'm only putting it here so that my friends can have access to is as I write it.

What if the rebellion failed, the hunger games continued? These are the 150th annual hunger games! To remind the citizens of the failed rebellion the Capitol decided to hide ruins in the arena. Vivus Redis, a seventeen year old boy from district 13, is being reaped. Will he survive and see his best friend and family again? Or will he die a horrible death in the arena? And what's up with all these mockingjay symbols? "Why?!", yells Res as she enters the room. "I told you to not do that! I told you that over and over again!" 99 tributes - The 100th Hunger Games
The Mockingjay revolution got drowned in blood by the Capitol at the edge of victory. The remaining victors have all been executed. However, the Districts got better treated than ever before, the new president of Panem estimating that giving the rebels more liberty would prevent a new revolution. The only condition for this is the continuation of the Hunger Games. The Reaping is now far more just than before, only the children of criminals being chosen. But at the dawn of the 100th Hunger Games, celebrating the 4th Quarter Quell and 1st Century of Suffering, the twist announces a more sadic than ever edition, and an even better show for the Capitol.
