"You look happy." Mara whispered, her voice scratchy from sleep. "So do you." Feyre whispered back. Mara searched her friend's face, thumb absentmindedly stroking Feyre's knuckles. A Court of Mortal Love (ACOTAR Fanfic)
TW: This book deals with triggering topics, rape/violence and gore. I was born to Graysen, enemy of the Fae. He taught me his history. The history of the war with Hybern, 27 years ago, of the different kinds of Fae to hate, and of Feyre, who was taken by Tamlin-the worst Fae of them all. Yet recently Ma and I found that maybe Father didn't hate all Fae. In fact, he was still in love with one. So obsessed with Elain, he had named me after her-Ellaena. Ma left, and in the wake of her absence, I now doubted their love of me, and fled my Father's fortress. Fled into town, in the alleys, straight into the group of men who became my first abusers. They left me in the forest, at the border between the mortal realm and the Spring Court. It was how I met him-the one I was warned of most. Tamlin.
