Eun-ji is a 31-year-old woman living in the bustling neighborhood of Ssangmun-dong. Struggling with a life characterized by poor choices, her favorite pastimes of stealing and gambling have led her into a deep financial hole. With creditors closing in and debts piling up, she is convinced that participating in the games is her only chance at salvation.

Everything changes when she crosses paths with Gi-Hun, a fellow participant in the games. Through their conversations and experiences, Eun-ji begins to see the flaws in her single-minded pursuit of wealth. She realizes that life offers much more than just money; it includes meaningful connections, personal growth, and the possibility of redemption.
