Harper Nolan's life has been black and gray. Every day she had the same routine. Wake up, go to work, breathe, cry, repeat. Harper's fiancé, Jack, had been shot in the line of duty just one year earlier. What made the situation even worse: the killer was still at large. The police had no leads. She was searching for a reason to even live when her boss pulled her in for a meeting that day. Harper worked as a trauma therapist in Seattle. The company she worked for had a sister office in los angeles. Her boss was side lining her. She was in no position to see clients. The sister office needed clerical assistance. Harper agreed to go. Upon her arrival, Harper meets Evan Buckley. Evan is a firefighter for the LAFD. Evan is suffering from his own tragedies as well. The only woman he ever loved betrayed him and left. Both Evan and Harper feel hopeless. However, when they are together, they can't deny the spark between them: it was unbelievably magical.
