Before I could say anything, he opened the door and walked around to my side like the gentleman he is. He held out his hand to help me out, and the second we got in the house-
His hands were on me.
He didn't even wait until we reached the living room. The door clicked shut behind us, and Chan pulled me against his chest, his hand sliding around my waist like he needed me there. His lips grazed my temple.
"You're mine, yeah?" he whispered, voice low and a little rough.
I looked up, smiling softly. "Of course I am."
"Then why did it hurt to see him look at you like he still had a chance?"
"Chan, he doesn't. He never will. That part of my life is done. I chose you-and I'll keep choosing you every single day."
He exhaled a shaky breath, resting his forehead against mine.
"I know, bub... I know. I'm sorry-I'm tryin' not to be all possessive, but when it comes to you, I just-"
He stopped midsentence, eyes darkening slightly.
"I want to show you who you belong to."
My heart skipped. My breath hitched.
His voice wasn't angry. It wasn't loud. It was soft. Whispered. But it was full of intensity. Full of love. Full of the kind of devotion that makes your knees feel weak.
"Show me then," I whispered.
That was all it took.....
