Vincent lived in the Capital, where the world was built with a simplistic view on life, and monitored closely by a watchful government. Citizens are expected to move through life as set in front of them, or risk dire consequences.
As he is being prepared for his expected Role, he finds there is more to life than simply following orders, and he is confronted with a difficult choice-go back to living the way he had been, or take the risk of diverging from the safety of his society.
