Welcome Back To School

Seventh grade is hard, especially for twelve year old Elvy Nguyen. She is just beginning to realize that surviving seventh grade is no easy feat. You gotta memorize all your classes and their room numbers by heart, do all your homework before the big due date, stay on the good side of ALL the teachers, etc. As you follow along in her journey, you may recognize bits and pieces of yourself written within. Elvy's struggles are common amongst all people. Oh, and don't forget the boy drama.

Homeschool felt like an endless void to Mika. Actually, endless was an understatement. The boredom was forevermore (hehe, reference #1). After an eventful six years in elementary school, she ventured off into the unknown lands of homeschooling, where you talked to nobody, knew nobody, and saw nobody. Probably because there was nobody. It was just her, her dog, sister, and stay-at-home mother. She worked for four hours on a seemingly endless pile of homework independently with no help from teachers. After all that, she drove to the golf course to practice another three hours. That was all she did for the first three months. When she finally came out to her parents to tell them how she felt, her dreams of going to public school came true. Now, she reunites with her old friends from elementary school, including her sixth grade crush...
