Wings of Evermore: The Reckoning

~ Wings thrashed in the sky as I hurtled down the cliff side, the crashing waves rushing towards me. The white foam atop the waves bubbled as they slammed into the hard rock of the cliff face. Spinning through the air I brushed my wings open, hoping to regain balance. I flipped over looking up to clouds and the hilltop of the cliff, where another Falconer stood, tall as ever. Her steely green eyes staring down at me with a smile. ~

Magic is a delicate thing, it can be seen as different things, between life, and a gateway to the underworld. But in this world, magic is life, death, and a gateway between worlds.
