Punished...
The hand dragged me on to the sand, while my lungs screamed. I felt weight on my chest. The hand was forcing the water out of my lungs. When I could finally speak and I could open my eyes slightly, I groaned, “Stop”. But my energy was gone as soon as the words were out.
And my vision slowly blanked out again. I could hear the sound of a young guy in the distance. I couldn’t recognize the voice, but I recognized the tone. It was panic. Then a hand felt my neck, trying to find my pulse. I knew it was slow. The same voice yelled out to some others, “I got her. She’ll be fine.” Then I blacked out completely, with my mind in complete darkness.

Her will to live and love is slowly failing her as she is consumed by the idea of deserving punishment. The blood had already leaked down my forehead, but I kept my eyes on Shane and tried to blink quickly to clear my vision. "Hang on, please. Please hang on."
